Product Description

SHIVA SPINOSED-45 contains Spinosad 45% SC, a biological insecticide derived from the fermentation of the actinomycete Saccharopolyspora spinosa. It is widely used for controlling resistant Helicoverpa in crops like cotton and red gram.

• It provides powerful control of pests such as Aphids, Jassids, Shoot & Fruit Borer, Girdle Beetle, Semilooper, American Bollworm, Diamond Back Moth, and Pod Borer with a unique mode of action different from conventional insecticides.
• It effectively controls caterpillars within 2 days of application and is safe for beneficial insects. Spinosad works through both contact and ingestion.
• It has a broad-spectrum action on Lepidopteran and Dipteran insects and is also an effective thripicide. It offers a favorable toxicological profile and prolonged residual action.

Dosage & Application

• Home Garden / Nursery: 1 ml per 1 litre of water
• Large Scale Application: 60–90 ml per acre
• Recommended Method: Foliar Spray

Mode of Action

Spinosad acts by both contact and ingestion. It affects the insect nervous system by activating nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in a unique way, causing excitation, involuntary muscle contractions, tremors, and eventual paralysis leading to death.
