SHIVA SODIUM | Bispyribac Sodium 10% SC Herbicide
Description
SHIVA SODIUM is a Post Emergent, Broad Spectrum systemic herbicide for all types of Rice cultivation i.e. direct sown rice, rice nursery and transplanted rice.
Features & Benefits
- SHIVA SODIUM controls major grasses, sedges and broad leaf weeds of rice. It offers a wide application window from 2-5 leaf stages of weeds
- It gives freedom of need based application only when the weeds emerge and is safe for rice.
- SHIVA SODIUM gets absorbed quickly in weeds and results are unaffected even if it rains after 6 hours of application.
- It has low dosage thus cost effective
Method of Application
- Shake the bottle thoroughly before use
- Targeted weeds should directly be exposed to SHIVA SODIUM spray
- Use Flat fan / Flood jet nozzle only
- Ensure uniform spray only.
- Re-flood the field within 48 – 72 hrs. of application.
- Maintain water for 5-7 days to suppress weed emergence.

Precautions
- Use PPE clothing during application. Read and follow all instructions on the label and leaflet very carefully.
- Do not apply SHIVA SODIUM as sand mix / fertiliser mix. Do not apply SHIVA SODIUM with shaker bottle.
- Do not apply SHIVA SODIUM when weeds are submerged in water. Weeds should be out of water so that SHIVA SODIUM spray falls on weeds.
- Do not spray SHIVA SODIUM if rains are expected within 6 hours of spray.
- Do not tank mix SHIVA SODIUM with sulphur and copper containing pesticides.
Antidote
- No specific antidote is known. Provide symptomatic treatment.
Mode of Action
- Inhibition of acetolactate synthase ALS (acetohydroxyacid synthase AHAS)
Toxicity Triangle
- Blue triangle, Moderately toxic.
- Cautionary word on the triangle – Danger.
